Asian Games Dialogue | Female Athlete Jiang Jiaqi: "I told my parents that my efforts were not in vain"

On May 5th, according to the instructions and work arrangements of the General Administration of Sports of China, as well as the record of the National Sports Information Center of the General Administration of Sports of China, the official announcement was made regarding the list of reserve players for the Chinese national training team of the League of Legends esports event and the Peace Elite Asian Games version event of the Hangzhou Asian Games. Among these lists, we can see many well-known esports athletes, and Jiang Jiaqi (XBaiC) from NOVA Peace Elite is the only female esports athlete selected as a reserve player for the Chinese national training team in the Peace Elite Asian Games version event of the Hangzhou Asian Games.

After learning about being chosen as a reserve player for the Chinese national training team in the Peace Elite Asian Games version event of the Hangzhou Asian Games, Jiang Jiaqi was very excited. She immediately contacted her parents to share her joy, saying, "My efforts were not in vain; I did it."

When I first stepped onto the PEL (Peace Elite League) stage, I felt a lot of pressure and was nervous. But now I have adapted to the competition, and I want to understand the game version better and cooperate with everyone to achieve better results and prove myself.

"People's E-sports": Although you have been selected as a reserve player for the Chinese national training team in the Peace Elite Asian Games version event of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the competition is still fierce. Do you have confidence in being selected for the final roster?

XBaiC: I have faith. Being selected for the final roster is my new goal. Although there are strong players around me, and I may have less experience as a "junior," since I have been selected as a candidate for the Chinese national training team, everyone has an equal opportunity. I will work hard to seize this opportunity.

"People's E-sports": What are your feelings and expectations for the success of esports at this Asian Games? What are your expectations for the performance of the Peace Elite Asian Games version event?

XBaiC: I feel it is a career I love, and by participating in the Asian Games, I have entered the view of more people and gained more recognition. I want esports to go further through this stage, and more players will shine. I am very excited and hope we can win the gold medal and bring glory to our country.
